Ozoomer Magnetic Wireless Charger x Winergy Wireless Charger: Review

Are you searching for Ozoomer Magnetic Wireless Charger Review? I bought this Ozoomer Charger a few weeks ago and will share here my thoughts about it.

Wireless charging has become really popular in the last few years, because it is super convenient to just place our smartphones on a surface and have them charged without the need of plugging in any cable.

Since wireless charging is still very much in its nascent stage, the charging speeds are slower, and there’s a lot of info that you need to look at when comparing chargers. And the experience you get will vary from one smartphone to the other, and from charger to the other.

And that is the main issue with Ozoomer Magnetic Charger. It was very slow to charge my phones.

I have an iPhone 11 and my wife has a Samsung S10, and the charger works on both phones, but it just takes about 3 hours to charge up to 15 to 20% of the battery.

I found my Ozoomer charger experience quite frustrating. I could use it only when I was at home or at work, places I could leave my phone charging for several hours in order to have some little power juice.

But I did not give up the idea of having a handy wireless charger, and I bought another one. This second time I got the Winergy Wireless Charger.

And this time my experience was way better with Winergy. Here are some findings about my experiences with both chargers.

Ozoomer x Winergy chargers Price

Both chargers don’t differ much on their prices. I got both chargers online, and here is what I paid:

So their final costs were basically the same, being the Winergy a couple bucks cheaper.

Ozoomer x Winergy charging Speed

Both Ozoomer and Winergy claim to be fast chargers which work with all phones that support QI Wireless charging.

But here, my experience with the Winergy wireless charger was much better here.

  • While I needed 3 hours to charge up to 20% of my Iphone 11 battery using the Ozoomer;
  • Using the Winergy on my Iphone, these 3 hours filled almost 85% of the phone battery.

The performance difference was huge, and that was a game winner for Winergy in my opinion.

The charging speed results on both chargers were very similar on my wife’s Samsung S10.

Ozoomer x Winergy Phone Compatibility and Features

These chargers are built-in with Qi wireless charging smart chips.

They are suitable for all QI-enabled smartphones for Huawei Mate P20/P30; suitable for Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+/10e/S9/S9 Plus; iPhone 11/11 Pro/11 Pro/XS MAX, etc.

So if you have a QI-enabled phone, either charger should work for you.

There is one feature I would really like on Ozoomer, if it would work on my phone: the magnetic hold. But this magnetic alignment only applies to iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models. Since I have Iphone 11, it does not work for my phone.

Both chargers have:

  • Overcurrent protection
  • Over voltage protection
  • Over temperature protection
  • Short circuit protection
  • Power protection
  • Under voltage protection
  • Over charge protection
  • Foreign body detection
  • Magnetic field protection

Also they are sensitive and can be charged with the protective cover.

Chargers Design

Both chargers are quite beautiful, they are slim, small, lightweight and thin. But I like the Winergy wireless charger best.

The Winergy has a led light around it, which comes up when charge is full, that makes this charger very stylish, and matches nicely with its aluminium case.

I also think a small advantage of Winergy over Ozoomer, is that on the first, the power cable is detached from the charger, while on the second the cable is built-in.

Built-in cables can break, so it could be a hassle to fix it if the Ozoomer cable is torn. Thing I will not have to worry about if Winergy cable goes bad, since I will only have to connect another micro-USB cable on it and I will be ready to go.

My final Take

Being cheaper, faster and better looking, I definitely prefer the Winergy wireless charger over the Ozoomer Magnetic charger.

In fact, I have returned the Ozoomer charger and requested a refund from the seller, and I only kept the Winergy wireless charger. And I will get an extra Winergy for my wife.
